Intertherm 50 is a one-part high temperature coating, based on a moisture curing silicone so that multiple coats to be applied without heat curing. It was designed to protect steel from corrosion on areas including flare stacks, chimneys, exhausts, vents and pipework, at temperatures up to 1004°F (540°C). If maximum corrosion protection is required, Intertherm 50 should be applied over a zinc silicate primer (e.g. Interzinc 22). Intertherm 50 is available in an aluminum or black version. It is recommended that the aluminum version is always used where possible due to its superior performance. The black version should only be used for specialist applications / requirements.
